OSHA and ANSI regulations, outlining the safety requirements for proper vehicle lift operation, inspection and maintenance, require that a “qualified lift inspector” inspects every lift at least once a year.
Translation; Any equipment in your fleet that includes “man up” or “mounted” equipment including order pickers, aerial lifts, scissor lifts and bucket trucks, requires American National Standard Institute (ANSI) inspections. The equipment must bear visual dated verification of compliance by a qualified lift inspector.
Are you compliant? Do you have the visual and backup confirmation that you are compliant?
Fleets with certain types of specialty equipment will need frequent and periodic inspections. Many of these types of equipment include vehicle-mounted aerial lifts (bucket trucks, cherry pickers, etc.), cranes, bridge inspection equipment, digger derricks, pressure diggers and other similar units.
OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) requirements, for most industries, reference ANSI standards and state that compliance is mandatory. At Accurate, we’re 100% up-to-date on all OSHA and ANSI regulations.
